Twice yearly, people from all around New Zealand, enter the 20 Week Body & Lifestyle competition and as part of it, agree to use a REPs personal trainer.
As a personal trainer on this competition you will:-

HOW IT WORKS
The 20 week Body and Lifestyle competition requires entrants to set specific health and fitness goals in categories that cater for everything from overcoming injuries, gaining strength, improving flexibility, changing their body shape to running 10 km.
Together with you, their trainer, entrants then decide how the steps they should take in order to achieve their goals.
We then reward them for doing well and you, for helping them!
Below is everything you need to know to get started.
A. No. We do not prescribe a particular, exercises, diet or products. We prescribe personal trainers because they know best when it comes to advising individuals about how to best achieve their goals.
Q. What does “20 Weeks” require personal trainers to do?
A. That you see entrants of the competition no less than once a month, that you send them a weekly newsletter from yourself (we will supply you with one that you can use , you can add your brand to it and alter it however you like
, that you complete up to two short online surveys for us to tell us how well you are doing over the 20 weeks and that you do your choice of assessments on your clients at the beginning and end of the competition again, to see how well your entrants do.
We also request that you do a complimentary first consultation for NEW clients that have or are interested in entering the competition.
Q. What do I get for being a trainer on “20 Weeks”?
A. Support, ideas, branding tools and the opportunity to get new clients! Plus you will receive a weekly newsletter which includes loads of technical ideas on how to train and support your clients, plus un-biased, independent tips on sales, marketing, retention and referral strategies, all designed to help your business boom, but you can pick and choose what you take on board and what you don’t.
Each week we’ll also send you a professional e-newsletter for your clients. You can change this around as much as you like and add your logo as it’s designed to build your brand not ours. You can also forward it to other clients, adding huge value to your service.
Plus we will throw in over $5000 of prizes and giveaways all designed to make you look good and help your clients succeed.
Q. Is this just for new trainers or experienced trainers?
If you are a new trainer our support will help build your confidence, your brand and enable you to offer your clients an A class service without all the additional work.
If you are an experienced trainer this competition will offer you a new way to promote yourself, reward existing clients and help push more difficult clients into achieving success. Past competitions have shown that many will also see you more often for the 20 weeks.
Q. Does “20 Weeks” dictate how much I charge entrants or how often I see them?
No we do not dictate the fee you charge for your sessions. You can also do as many sessions as you like with the entrant over and above the monthly minimum. We do not take commission from any sessions you do and any new clients that we refer to you, are yours to keep!
Q. How does “20 Weeks” cover it’s costs then?
We have some fabulous sponsors and supporters that put up the prizes. The remainder of our costs are covered via entrants paying $99 or $129 to enter, that way it remains totally FREE for you.
All surveyed entrants have agreed tht the competition proved to be great value for them and many said they would have paid a lot more for what they received.

Q. Can I get more clients from “20 Weeks”
Yes, apart from new clients that sign up as a result of you using the material we’ve designed for you to advertise yourself with, you are also eligible to have new clients referred to you from us.
The pre-requisite to us referring you new clients, i.e. entrants who do not have a trainer, is that you already have just one person who has already entered the competition, nominating you as their trainer. This is a great way for us to reward personal trainers who jump o board this programme.
Q. We are a fitness facility, can we run it on site and put our branding on all your material?
Sure. Best of all it’s not only still free for you, we’ll offer you financial incentives and great deals to run the 20 Week Body & Lifestyle Competition at your place.
Q. We already have a 12 Week Body Challenge in place.
Cool, “20 Weeks” can be run in conjunction with any existing 12 week challenges or similar that you have running! In fact, it can add a lot of value to it!
Q. How do I get on the “20 Weeks” website?
Our website www.20weeks.co.nz currently includes a list of highly recommended personal trainers and clubs. To be on this page you must be involved in the current competition or completed one competition as a trainer on a previous occasion.
Q. Do you give Awards to trainers and facilities who do a great job?
Yes, there are a number of awards we give out to trainers and clubs
1) Best Catch Fitness Personal Trainer for the series
This award is based upon:-
1) The number of clients that have entered under the trainer.
2) The results of those clients.
3) Feedback from clients on their personal trainer’s skills.
4) Professionalism of the personal trainer as commented on by clients and others in the industry.
5) Initiatives demonstrated by the trainer over the course of this competition.
6) Involvement by the trainer’s clients in the client surveys run during this competition.
